Boudelo Blond is a clear, blond beer, with a nice white head. A very refreshing start, supported by a nice saturation, is followed by a light, sweet malty body with spicy aromas thanks to a late hopping with a blend of Belgian hops. A bitterness slowly makes its appearance. Boudelo Blond is more bitter than pils but less bitter than an IPA. The slightly drier, bitter aftertaste makes it very thirst-quenching. Despite the alcohol percentage of 5.8%, you experience a full taste. Just as easy to drink as an export, but with a bit more spice!

Bottle 33cl. @home pored into a teku glass. Hazy medium golden colour, good frothy white head, good retention and lacing. Aroma sweet malt, Belgian yeast, banana, grain, spicy notes. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, grain, green banana, yeast, spices. All in all quite coarse mouthfeel. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, dry sweetbitter aftertaste, malty, grainy and husky, hmm just okay.

Messy, and an infected batch, perhaps? Too bad.

Bottle, 5.8%. Bready and citric aroma. Almost clear golden colour. Good stable white head. The flavour is thinner than the aroma lets on. Bready with a slightly rough bitterness. Fairly thin malt base. Hint of floral hops.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with stable white head. Clear aroma of malt and fruit, with notes of Belgian yeast and hoppy touches. Bitter, hoppy flavour with notes of citrus and flowers, and sweetish touches of malt and yeast. Bitter, hoppy aftertaste with malty and estery touches and acidic hints. Well-balanced and quite enjoyable.

Draught @ the brewpub Very good, classical lacey white head over hazy golden beer. Malt in force, fresh malts and worts, spicy. (Quite) bitter and malty in a perfect combination; flavour as from citruspeel. Way much denser in feel than the 5.8% would warrant. Excellent by any standard.

Geel bier met schuim. Smaak is bitter hoppig en licht zoet met iets van citrus, gras, wat appel en kruiden (nootmuskaat misschien)? Fijne bitterheid.

Bottle shared. Bit hazy light golden with white head. Sweet malts, melon, a bit of yeast, grassy hops, light earthy, green leafy notes. On the sweet side, but also some bitter weedy hops. Medium bodied. OK.

10/VII/21 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ Anniek and Martijn’s place, BB: 25/XI/23 (2021-606)

Clear blond yellow beer, small creamy white head, stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very yeasty, lots of ripe banana, sweet impression, some marijuana when pouring the beer. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sweet, little malty, banana, very yeasty. Aftertaste: sweet, yeasty, banana, malty, bit sugary. Rather boring.
