CD 02/03/2021. Black, creamy brown head. Smells smokey, clear cardemom, some hibiscus. Smooth and soft body, some boozyness. Taste is quite peaty, rich, earthy, fading into salty licorice. Very powerful and strong, but soft as well. Cardamom supports.

Op tap bij The Scrapyard. Zwarte kleur, beige-bruine kraag. Aparte geur, bloemig en gebrand tegelijk, hint van turf en zoethout, zwarte cardamon als een licht rokerige en licht munt-achtige smaak, bessen, pure chocolade. Apart en lekker. Volle body.

Taster at home courtesy of Sander, big thanks. black color, small dark coffee colored head. smells smoky, herbal, bit sweaty, spices, rather weird smell. full body, no carbonation. tastes of spices, minty, sweetness, candy, molasses, hints of smoke, sweaty, hints of bitter chocolate. finishes sweet and oily with notes of mint, spices and some candy notes. hmm, decentish, for this oily heavy mouthfeel this actually has not a lot going on, tastes heavy on the sugar. Pretty nice but overall not a favorite.

44cl can. A very dark brown beer. Aroma of intense sweet dark malt, chocolate, cardamon, hibiscus. Taste of sweet strong dark caramelized malt, chocolate, hibiscus, cardamon.

Dunkler Malzbeginn mit etwas Hibiskus, der aber in der Nase deutlicher hervortritt. Lakritz ist glücklicherweise nur hintergründig erschmeckbar, weich, erstaunlich süffig. Langer, süß malziger Abgang. 10/12/12/10/9/12

Can shared thanks to kermis. Black with small tan head. Massive licorice, cardamom, roasted malts, soft smoke, sausage, earthy, sweet dark chocolate covered salmiak licorice? Quite sweet, solid medium bitter. Full bodied. Quite interesting, needs to be shared though.
