Cask as part of the spoons 2026 Scottish beer festival. Pours hazy amber with a thin bubbly white head. Aromas of toffee and light spice. Taste is sweet malt and faint spice. Light sweet finish.

Bottle from Broughton’s village shop. Black body with a tan head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of coffee, woody malt and dark chocolate. Flavour of chocolate, earth and coffee. Medium body with a slick mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Rich and roasty.

Mörkbrun vätska med finbubbligt kaffegräddefärgat skumlock. Arom av kavring, nötter och lite våt säd. Fin maltighet med en lätt gräskbuskig beska.

500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.6%. Very dark brown to black colour, moderate beige head. Aroma of dark malts, prunes, dark chocolate, caramel, some vinous hints. Flavour with the same elements (but no vinous hints here), also mild coffee, moderate hops in the finish. Okay.
