Bottled@Poirottiβs Skotoberfest 2007. Dark ruby red colour with a bubbly head, that vanishes quickly. Aroma is caramel malts, flowery hops, with some oaky hints as well as slight smoke and dark chocolate. Flavour is quite much the same along with some slight milder spices in it. Refreshing and quite nice.

500ml bottle from Tesco, Camberley. Reddish chestnut body with a short-lived beige head; toffe aromas; and a toffee flavour with malts and nuts present; a warming aftertaste; smooth and well-balanced.

Bottle, picked up at Tesco Cowley. Dark ruby coloured beer with a slim off white head. Nice aroma of fruit and some bitter chocolate. Taste was malty, fruity and the chocolate came through again, lovely warming beer.

500ml bottle from Tesco. Very deep ruby with lasting tan head. A very lovely intense vinous fruit and chocolate aroma. Bit of cream too. Starts very carbonated, but then calms down into a smooth fruity choccy porter. Fruits are blackberry based and then this tremendous hit of chocolate. Choc lasts into the finish with a bit of tingly hop on the tongue. Impressive and very tasty with well defined and intense flavours. A beer for a winter night.
