Bottle 0,5 ltr: Clear brown coloured brew with an gentle sweet bitter taste with hints of caramel, nuts and some gentle roasted malts.

Bottle as Brauns Achhörnla. dark amber color. Vague maltaroma. Malty sweetish, caramelly flavor. Very low on carbon. Bready. Somewhat watery mouthfeel. Hint of roast. Decent, not perfect.

Bottle. Clear amber-golden color with white head. Aroma is papery, cardboard, caramel, popcorn. Taste is caramel, popcorn, a bit oxidized. Oily mouthfeel with natural carbonation. Meh.

500ml bottle [as Brauns Achhörnla]. Clear, copper-ish, brown colour with small, thick, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Slightly nutty, caramel malty aroma, minimally piney, hoppy overtones. Taste is minimally sweet, nutty malty, piney hoppy overtones; smooth, soft and silky palate, minimally watery passages.

"Brauns Achhörnla" von der Brauerei Eichhorn, Flasche von Fränky, Forchheim. - Tiefes Kastanienrotbraun, klar. - In der Nase sattes dunkles Malz mit Karamel und milder Hopfenherbe im Hintergrund. - Antrunk aromatisch dunkelmalzig mit dunkler Brotkruste, Anklängen an Mokka und Nuß, abgeschmeckt mit zart säuerlicher Frucht. Kaum süß. Milder rezent, leicht trocken. Im Abgang dunkelmalzbitter mit leichter aber aromatischer hopfenwürzig-kräuteriger Herbe und etwas Moos. - Sehr schönes Dunkles, kaum süß, angenehm malzig-trocken und dezent aber stimmig gehopft.

Geruch nach Kuhstall. Dunkler, wenig würziger Antrunk. Geringe Bitterkeit, trocken holzig, etwas monoton. Noch ok. 8/8/8/7/9/8

500ml Bottle - Copper in colour with some orangey tinges. Chestnuts, toffee and malt in the aroma. Nutty and malty taste with notes of chestnuts and a hint of chocolate.

Draft at the brewery during the Bamberg Jolly of January 2014. Pours clear, dark gold with a foamy, off-white head. Solid low octane dunkel. Pleasant notes of toasted bread, light tin, leaves, brown sugar. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish with further notes of toasted bread and mellow brown sugar. Nice.
