Each quarter we stretch our creative muscles and brew a variation of our year-round Imperial Stout. This quarter we’ve paired up with our good friends at Modern Times Coffee to create a special pairing of coffee and beer. Their Celestial Dawn coffee has robust notes of chocolate, berries, stone fruit, wood, and spice. When combined with our Speedway Stout, the blend is full of chocolate, fruit, and caramel notes.

Draught@Sori Taproom, Helsinki. Pitch black colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is coffee, some roasted and chocolaty tones with mild syrup and some alcohol too. Flavour is coffee, some vanilla, mild lactose, some alcohol, roasted malts and a bit wooden tones. Silky smooth, but still blowing up with flavours. Very nice!

Draught at Csak a jó sör!, Budapest. Really dark. AROMA- roasted malts, coffee, pralines, alcohol. FLAVOR- smooth, creamy, slightly sweet, moderately bitter, warming, dark chocolate, coffee, pralines. Fuller to full bodied. Really good.

Deep dark brown colour, moderate sized creamy beige head; aroma of coffee, dark chocolate and slight coconut, as well as licorice notes; taste of coffee, over-roasted nuts, dark chocolate, licorice, maybe anise, tobacco and herbal notes; excellent one as expected

On tap. Black body with a lasting creamy beige head. Lots of chocolate and robust coffee notes in the aroma and the taste with notes of caramel, nutmeg and cocoa. The end of the sip has lots of floral hops. Awesome like all versionsof the Speedway stout.

On tap @ Ghetto Something. Aroma of caramel, roasted malt, wood and chocolate. Pours pitch black color with large creamy light brown head and good lacing. Taste starts with moderate sweet and rich roasted malt and chocolate, follows by vanilla, dried fruit and mild smoke, mouthfeel is warm alcoholic, while finish is average bitter. Full body, syrupy texture and soft carbonation in palate. Heavenly work of art…

Tap at Ghetto Something, Koper. Vintage 2018. Opaque colour, beige head. Roasted, coffeish, bready nose. Medium-bodied. Smooth palate. Coffee, hints of vanilla, roasted with long aftertaste, some warming alcohol in the finish. Speedway Stout can't get much better.
