Half pint, cask at Richard Hopkins (JDW). Patchy beige head leaving crocheted lacing down the glass. Unclear copper coloured body. Toffee and dark fruits on the nose. Mid-sweet taste profile of toffee, dark dough and a backdrop of dried fruits carefully added by roasted endnotes. Medium bodied. Nice (Newton Abbot 28.04.2017)

Bottle from B&M Bargains, Manchester. Dark, clear chestnut colour with no head. Traditional ale with a heavier fruity sweetnyin its aroma than taste, but this defines its character.
