This beer is at the heart of what our company does. Genetic Drift is an award winning open fermented saison that incorporates wild cultures from the air to influence the flavor profile in ways that can never be replicated. This blend was brewed with 100% Michigan grown ingredients, and was aged in stainless steel. Juicy peaches from Nyblad Orchards and brett funk are at the forefront, with a silky and fluffy body at the finish.

Hazy, effervescent orange body, no head. Sour nose with peach, vinaigrette, and horse blanket. Body is dusty and cobwebby with peach and a nice sharp tart bite. Nothing sugary or artificial-tasting.

On tap at Wakefest. Pours a cloudy orange with small frothy white head. The aroma is peach, lemon zest, yeast, funk. Thin body, tart peach, light funk, straw, light dry finish, very good.

Tap @MBCC2019, Yellow Session. Cloudy orange, small white head. Malty aroma, herbal, bubble gum. Sourish berry aroma, not so much bubble gum anymore.

Fat på MBCC 2019, grön session. Blek spökgul. Funkigt och fylligt med snygga toner av persika, citronskal, lätt sockersötma. Friskt syrlig med bra bett i. Fantastiskt gott.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, 2018 vintage. Pours slightly hazy pale golden yellow color with a 2-3 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big juicy/lightly tart/tangy peaches, fruit skin/pits, apricot, lemon, lime, orange, strawberry, pear, mango, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with light notes of peppercorn, leathery/musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/spicy yeast, peaches, and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge juicy/lightly tart/tangy peaches, fruit skin/pits, apricot, lemon, lime, orange, strawberry, pear, mango, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with light notes of peppercorn, leathery/musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate peppery Brett spiciness, and light fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of juicy peaches, fruit skin/pits, apricot, lemon, lime, orange, strawberry, pear, mango, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, bread, light pepper/leather/funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/spicy yeast, peaches, and moderate bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/spiciness, and tart/tangy fruit balance; with no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering spiciness, tart/tangy fruit, and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/silky/grainy, and fairly sticky/acidic/tangy balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol for 6.6%. Overall this is an incredible fruited Brett wild ale! All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/spicy yeast, peaches, and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth, refreshing, and fairly crisp/clean to drink; with the mellowly spicy/tart/tangy/drying finish. Amazingly well rounded Brett complexity; perfectly balanced juicy peaches, and pale/wheat malts against acidity. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example as expected. Less malty and more vibrant on fruit/Brett than the first batch.
