Keg at the Bear, Paddington, 12/06/23. Murky light raspberry red with a good sized crimson cap. Nose is tangy berry pips, herb, chery yoghurt, hedgerow, pink berry sherbets. Taste comprises jammy berry pips, pomegranate, cherry skins, light funk, cherry stones. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying with a light acidic spike. Solid flavoursome sour ... good balance and delivery.

500mL bottled June 2022, drunk 9/2/22. Bright, mostly clear, pinkish-cherry with a small, dense, pink-tinged head. Really well-aged, even, yet bright and lovely aroma shows a good mix of barrel, lactic culture, malic acid, playful fruit and malt. No punchiness, not even sour, just lightly tart with a big cherry/Brett finish. Similar in the mouth with malo-lactic acids through the middle and a pillowy-soft, well-attenuated malt. Big brett notes supplement the cherries nicely. Soft, round, yet bright and flavorful with no rough/sharp/punchy edges. Clean, no alcohol or flaw noted. So well-made! Grimm's barrel program has been phenomenal.

375ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, June 22. Misty dark reddish appearance, no head remaining. Lovely fresh oaky cherry nose, continuing to taste. Bright sharp clarity of flavour, brilliant cherry definition with a great oaky warmth... everything just feels very right with this. Impeccable balance of flavours. Really impressive.

Soft, oaky cherries, something vinous at the end and a clean dry finish
