Rich honey and hay nose with juniper undertones. Cloudy golden, thin head. Honey and barley flavor, somewhat metallic. Grassy finish, with a tinge of honey. Cask-like mouthfeel. Nicely hopped. Distinctive and enjoyable.

A golden ale with a thin white head, big bubbled and frothy. In. aroma, biscuits and honey malt, a bit mineral. In mouth, very decent hoppiness for a blond ale, with light residual sugar, light citrus, medium bodied. Very run of the mill. Bought at Booze Bros, Reno, NV, August 2007.

bottle - Pours hazy dull gold with a very thin head and not much carbonation. Old bottle? I bought it very recently, but I couldn’t find a date on it, so who knows. The aroma is yeasty malt. The flavor is sweet malt that’s very recognizable as an English malt. It reminded me of a much lighter version of the strong cellar ready English ales like Thomas Hardy or JW Lees Harvest right down to the minimal carbonation. Of course this one isn’t as good either. The flatness (in both carbonation and flavor) and the almost cloying sweetness definitely didn’t do it for me. Very disappointing.
