Turning to St. Ninnidh the founder of Inishmacsaint Island, we were guided to a well that bears the name of the great man himself....to the untrained eye this may look like a hole full of questionable looking water, but this is no ordinary hole! In fact legend has it that the water here has healing properties that cures many ailments...

From cask at the lovely Dog & Bell, Deptford, London, 30.03.25. Hazy pale amber. Diminishing white head and lacing. Well-balanced aroma and taste of sweet pale malt, Sevilla marmalade, tamarind and ripe papaya. Moderate bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel. Good drinkability.

Dark blond colour with quick fading soapy head. Aroma and flavour have a nice, peachy fruity note. Low bitterness.

2/8/2022. Bottle shared by SHIG, cheers. Pours almost clear pale golden with a large frothy white head. Aroma of citrus, stone fruits, mango, candy cane. Medium sweetness and light bitterness with a tart edge. Medium body, slightly sticky, average carbonation. Sweet fruity finish. Pretty decent.

500ml bottle: BB 17th January 2023. Drank at home on 12th August 2022 after a 5 hour drive from Devon. Lager looking, golden body, clean and clear with loads of carbonation bubbles rising through to replenish the snow white crown. Then I let the sediment leave the bottle and it changed into a cloudy, dull golden colour. All a bit 'fizzy' and slightly herbal in nature, a little strange overall; citrussy mostly, but not a cure I'd recommend to anyone really.

Panda courtesy of SHIG, enormous thanks! This one was a bit bloated and gushed a bit, but held up fine. Murky yellow-golden body, big white head, without that much retention. Fruity aroma, citric and melony mostly, light light spicy touches that might be the bug that caused the gush, and it's slightly earthy, though lightly pear-like too. Won't take that against it. Lean, dry, sweetish bitterish taste, crackery maltiness, citric hop, light phenolic touches. Not in 100% shape, but I see it wasn't that better fresh. Will rerate it if ever possible, and won't dump the score either, still very much drinkable like this. Oh and my first Norn Oirish tick!

Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 16/06/22. Hazed golden to light amber with a decent light egg shell white crown. Nose is raw citric flesh, grass, melon, orange peel, citric tinged straw. Taste comprises bitter orange, straw, grains, tangy fruits. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with lightly astringent hop bitterness. Not terrible but rather a basic model coming over a touch on the raw side.
