R2 - Rare Dos that has been aged in Maker’s Mark barrels for at least 2 years. With Maker’s Mark being a wheated bourbon, it was an ideal barrel for extended aging. No adjunctions, just all barrel all day.

Bottle from Beerdome. My RateBeer 10K. Maker's Mark Bourbon. Aroma is roasted malt with lots of bourbon. Chocolate, soy sauce, oak, touch of booze and caramel. Flavour is sweet with a moderate bitterness. Full thick body. Robust and thick with plenty of bourbon barrel, very good.

Bottle from my in-laws: pours black with a beige head. Aroma is vanilla, light chocolate, mellow amounts of bourbon. Taste is clean bourbon, chocolate. Bourbon is mellow, which is nice, as it adds as an ingredient rather than stealing the show.

Tap MBCC 2022 Red Session. Poured almost black with a frothy round tan head. The aroma is roasty malt and bourbon. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a smooth, rich, slightly oily, liqourice, chocolate, coffee, light warm alcohol bitter palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation.
