Named after Pompeii which was famous for not only the volcano that destroyed it, but the amazing mosaics on the walls of the ruins. This IPA is created with the same attention to detail as the beautiful mosaics that graced the city of Pompeii. It features mango and pineapple hop flavors with a medium-body feel to tantalize the senses.

Cloudy gold with a rich white head. Dank and weedy hops with some sweet orange. Much like the nose, sweet citrus peel and some dank with a nice balanced bitterness. Very nice and classic profile. --- Beer merged from original tick of Pompei on 02 Feb 2016 at 01:01 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8. Original review text: Bottle - Mandarin and mango. Clear gold with a small white head. Sweet orange, Mandarin and grapefruit. Big citrus goodness.

Can. Cloudy and sort of a dull orangey colour. The aroma is sort of melony, maybe that white grapefruit thing. On the palate, the malts are relatively clear for this style, the hops taking on that very pale fruit note, a bit of juicy tartness in there. That said, this is way better than any beer I had at Pompeii. Not a hotspot of Italian craft beer.

Hazy gold pour. The aroma is of tropical fruit and hop resin. The flavor has fairly high bitterness with resin, tropical fruit and bready and caramel malt.

16oz (thx for bringing, Alex) @ home shared with Alex. Appearance: murky golden with a white head. Aroma: dank and fruity, juicy, Taste: along the same lines, on the dry side, very bitter finish. Overall: it's ok, but for this price (almost C$10+ in most of the locations)? No, thanks.

Had this on tap at mad mex in robinson, nice pale eye and nice happy hour dude. Big hazy pour. 1 Inch head. Heavy hop aroma. Near BO nose. Taste is bitter an difficult. Long nasty bitter finish. Good c02 from start to finish, odd for an IPA. Almost makes it confidingly acceptable.

Murky yellow color with medium white head. Aroma: pineapple, papaya, pine. Taste: strong presence of mosaic hops with mango, resin, earthy notes, bitterness lingers towards finish. Medium body, moderate to high carbonation, moderate to high bitterness. Clean, refreshing, full of Mosaic, tasty.

Shaker pint draft at Talk of the Town in Leawood, Kansas. The pour is a hazed yellow golden with a foamy white head that leaves behind big lace. The aroma is bright tropical tangerine pineapple, with softly bitter and bright tartness towards the back. The taste is a clean bright tropical tangerine and pineapple right away, with a perfect amount of bitterness and mineral that leads to a silky smooth finish. The palate is medium to light bodied with an unfiltered mouth feel and the tropical fruit with bitter finish. Really nice.

Tall can. Pours hazy yellow with a generous white head. Fresh grapefruit aroma. The flavor is lightly sweet, fruity and juicy. Not overly bitter, but enough to keep this balanced and quite drinkable.
