Dark brown, initially no head but slowly foamed one up, which faded fast. That was weird. Nose is chocolate for sure, dark chocolate, a tiny bit of roastiness. I really like that dark choc nose. Flavor mixes up that choc flavor with caramel flavors, lingering cocoa powder after taste. Lighter body, finishes just a tad thin on the palate. On the whole I like this - once upon a time I might have dinged it for the lighter body, I know often when I have coffee porters/stouts I'll get mad at the thin palate and lack of malt to complement. In this beer, more malt could work but might also overshadow the depth of the chocolate notes which would be a shame. Also I just kinda prefer lower gravity beers these days.

Thin, with an initial wave of recognizable Hershey goodness, but lacking much character after. Fades into a weak, oddly metallic back end, with a mild caramel-coffee vein and modest bitterness. Might be Yuengling’s best beer, but still average at best.

Bottle, Kroger @Rio Hill. Hazy dark brown (I saw it as I poured - you can't see though this in the glass), with a dusting of a beige head. Chocolate candy, roasted malt, cocoa, coffee nose. Chocolate candy - way too much and very much candy, roasted malt. Some might like this - tastes like a chocolate bar, or chocolate eggs, or chocolate race cars, or chocolate balls - all easter basket/children's treats. I don't care for chocolate candy. That being said, the other flavors are nice.

12 ounce bottle. Opaque dark brown color. Brief beige head. Roasted malt aroma is redolent of dark chocolate. Flavor follows nose. Dark chocolate throughout. Thin bodied with a sticky, oily mouthfeel. Brief dry finish. The Yuengling Dark Brewed Porter is much better.

12 oz. bottle purchased at ABC Liquor. Pours an opaque dark brown color with a small light brown head and fair retention. No lacing. The aroma is all Hershey's chocolate. As expected, tastes like a mix of sweet chocolate and light roasted malts. More chocolate flavor than porter flavor. Liquid candy bar. Sweet, but not as sweet as I feared. Thin mouthfeel for a porter. Low carbonation. Clean and smooth. A nice gimmicky dessert beer.

Dark pour. Sweet nose of chocolate. Decadent Hershey's chocolate syrup with hint of vanilla.

Brown-black pour with a medium beige head that diminishes quickly to a film. Sparse patches of lace. Aroma of chocolate and roast malt. Light-bodied with flavors of chocolate syrup, roast malt and a bit of coffee. The finish is sweet with a chocolatey aftertaste. Decent overall.

Pours very dark brown and smells like chocolate and roast malt. The flavor is very sweet. There's lots of chocolate and malt. It's a straightforward, medium bodied, chocolate beer and one that's alright though a bit too sweet for me.

Draft pour at a Buffalo Wild Wings - late December. Poured a very dark brown color, nearly pitch black. Aroma was like Hershey's syrup, not overly impressive at first, but as it warms it opens up. The flavor on the other hand was kind of amazing. Lots of melted Hershey's candy bar here. Not overly heavy though, pleasant roast, and surprisingly not overly sweet considering the above description. Solid stuff.
