500ml bottle, 2017 vintage. Tart plum aroma with notes of cherry, earth, vinous red wine, vanilla and oak. Pours deep burgundy red with a thin tan head that has no retention and no lacing. Starts with tart plum, cherry and vinous red wine flavors as well as having a vinous mouthfeel. Finishes dry and very tart with earth, vanilla and oak flavors. Quite nice.

Tap at KEG. Pours copper with thin head. Nose is big funk, lotta grapes, slightly sweet and pretty tart. Taste is grapes upfront, moderately sweet and rather tart. Then some pretty solid funky notes appear, rounding the taste nicely. Long lasting sweet and tart, funky finish, medium body, soft to average carbo. Tasty.

Sample at Haandfest 2019. Dark amber body with a nice beige head. Aroma of malt, acidic fruit, some wood and mild vinegar. Flavor is malt, toffee, red fruit, acid, red wine, wood, tannin and red berries. Fine body and long lasting rather sour and complex aftertaste. A fine balance of slightly sweet malt, sour fruit and barrel aged red wine.

Bottle from the lcbo. Opaque brown pour, with a medium beige head. Aroma is dark sour plums, malt vinegar and lactic dark fruit. Vinous, red whine notes mingle with barrel notes. Hints of baking spices, funk and cereals. Medium tart finish, fruity, sour, complex, alcohol well hidden.

Man, I cellar beers for too long. Another out of production. Pours a rosy brown, with no head and minimal carbonation. Nice nose of oak, some mild vinegar funk and a little vanilla. Taste decent aserbic sour running over cherries, vanilla, some oakiness. Sour lingers on the finish with the cherrys and mild caramel malt out near the end. Nice beer.

Bottle, gift from Dad. Hazy brown body with ruby highlights and no head. No visible carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of cranberry, raisin and red wine. Flavour of red wine and bitter lemon. Thin body with a slick texture. Light fizz. This is very sour and intense; I hoped it would be a bit more soft and nuanced. The ABV is well hidden.

Undated can drunk 9/6/22. Dark amber-cherry. Head falls immediately to ring. Clear. Caramel, vanilla, dark fruits, dates, sticky sugars and low alcohol. Good barrel character with light bourbon spiciness. No raw alcohol, though. It's interesting about the cherry/grape as it smells like cherry but is actually grape. Goes to show how much brett and lacto can influence the nose. Soft, oily, slick, malty, but well-attenuated. Vanilla, bourbon, chocolate, cherry. Soft, sweet, malty, very Flemish Sour. No alcohol or flaw.

Pours deep magenta-tinged mahogany into a tulip. Tan head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Pinot noir and oak aromas. Sharp with sweet pinot, plums, berries and cherries upfront turning to dry oak and cherry pit in the lasting finish.

Tiny can. Pours a reddish brown hue, a small white head. A big sour woody nose. Rich, woody tannins, tart and vibrant grapes, some funk. Very smooth.
