Packed full of dark crystal malts this brew takes on a rich amber colour. A bouquet of caramel, amber malts and sweet berries give way to a palate of biscuit malts, woody & fruity hops that deliver a medium dry finish. This brew performs superbly cask conditioned as well as in bottle.

Malts: Ale Malt, Malted Wheat, Oats, Vienna Malt, Dark Crystal
Hops: First Gold, Savinjski Goldings, Amarillo, Cascade, Chinook

Lovely amber color with a fine off white head. Berry fruity, toffee and a nice hoppy feeling in the nose. Nice body and a fine carbonation. Well balanced sweetness and bitterness. Berry fruity, herbal, toffee, bready and a nice hoppy touch in the flavor. Lovely tasty ale!

Flaske 500ml fra Kilpishalli. Mørk gyldenbrun med et lite rødskjær. Middels høyt luftig skum. Tett lacing. Bra aroma av bær. Smaken har samme preg. Litt tørr etter hvert. Bra - men litt tynn.

Bottle from Beers of Europe [220115]
Dark amber, clear, frothy white head, good lacing
Aroma of very soft berry fruits, soft fruity caramel, nothing else
Taste of caramel, some dark toffee malts, dab of dark honey, soft fruits, mainly malts, light hops, soft flavour
Palate - soft carb, medium body, rather sweet. Finish of soft red berries, toffee caramel, soft sweet
Overall - OK, gets a bit boring with the drinking. Reckon this would be better on cask.

Reddish brown colour, nice head with good lacing. Aroma is initially of resin, then more floral, with nice sweet malty backbone. Light bitterness, does not dominate the beer, but seems just enough. Medium body, lively carbonation. Very good!

Cask at Jeremiah’s tap room. Clear amber-red pour, thick white head. Light aromas of red fruit and biscuit, slight sour note, repeated on the taste. Thin finish. Not the best.

Bottle at JF’s, from Hogsback shop, cheers James 03/11/13. Dark reddish amber with a thin off white covering. Nose is caramel malt, light hops, berry fruit, sugars, fruit jam. Taste comprises candied sugars, light citric, red grapefruit, caramelised sugars. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finish with light hop bitterness. Decent amber ale/hoppy red affair - not a bitter in my book.

500 ml bottle. A light amber body with a small off-white head. Moderate in aroma, mostly caramel malt. Quite nice and fruity flavor with caramel malt, toast and moderate bitterness. Nothing fantastic, but a decent session ale.
