A traditional Highland recipe, popular in Northern Scotland until the end of the 19th Century. This "Triple" style ale is spiced with sprigs of spruce and pine, harvested in the spring and brewed with only a small token handful of hops. Break out the goblets and pour with abandon. Rich, tawny and best enjoyed at room temperature.

Bottle. I really like the beers from the William Brothers. This one tastes and smells just like the name. But this is a good thing. This is a great winter time beer. Maybe even a holiday one. Brown colored ale with a light head. Great stuff. Should be experienced.

300ml bottle from an xmas gift pack.
pours a clear amber color. aroma is big on the pine with fruit in the back ground. Flavour is nice and piney with a good amount of fruity bitterness int he finish. I enjoyed this quite a bit.

Some toasty malty, with strong honey. Solid cloying spruce. Finishes sweet and full. Decent.

Tight foamy white head stayed on a reddish brown still body. Malt & spicy aroma. Medium to full bodied, light over the tongue with a sticky back. Pine, hoppy, sweet syrup, medicinal, herbal & confectionery tastes with a bitter finish. Nice.

Brown sugar, plums and a slight herbalness in the aroma. Sweet sugary flavor with rubber and something woody. Slightly herbal, mixed with some tropical fruit. Not really my taste, but not without quality.
