House Of Pale is one of the recipes we’ve taken from our beloved mad laboratory in Copenhagen, BRUS. A New England Pale ale with Equanot hops. It’s seen many changes and tweaks over this year, experimenting with hop doses and overall ‘crispiness’ - and now we’re pretty sure we’ve got exactly what we’ve been looking for.

44 cl can from To øl advent calendar poured into a tulip glass. Hazy golden colour with a medium-sized white head. Fruity aroma with lemons, orange zest, tropical impressions, and grasses. The taste is bitter. Medium body. Dry and fruity bitter finish. Nice, usual To Øl standard.

Canned 440ml. -at Goblet Zagreb. Pale golden coloured,medium sized white head, dusty herbal nose. Caramel, ripe oranges, herbal and dusty with sweet finish. Not fresh.

Tåkete oransjebrun med masse hvitt skum. Lukter Appelsin, malt og noe sitrus. medium fylde. Smaker mildt av grapefrukt, appelsin og malt.

Can from Amstein, St-Légier. Drinking it at Epalinges, on saturday after the birthday of my daughter. A kind of really herbal and peppery pale hale, a bit rough at the palate, dry, mineral, dry bitterness, citrus, malt, oat.

Can. Hazy dark golden. Sweet caramel malts, lots if grassy bitter hops with hay and spruce, light endive, bitter lime zest, corn. Medium sweet and solid bitter. Medium bodied. It’s OK, but I don’t get why they call this New England style.
