Bottle from station, Tbilisi. Terrible beer really but it does the job on a night train I suppose. Tinny and not clean.

500ml bottle. No indication of ABV, although the brewer’s site says 4.8%. Gravity is 12%. Everything on the label is in Georgian except the word Kazbegi. Pours very slightly hazy gold with a large white head. Aroma is hay, butterscotch, malt. Taste is sweet and malty, wheat, grain. Not bad. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Lager on 13 Aug 2017 at 06:56 - Score: Appearance - 4 | Aroma - 3 | Flavor - 4 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 4.5. Original review text: 500ml bottle. Pours pale gold with a small soapy white head. Aroma is stale malt, cardboard, butterscotch. Taste is sweet, straw, low bitterness. Light bodied, watery. Not good.

Bottled 500ml (from shop in Kutaisi). Honeyish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is grainy and honeyish with green apple. Light-bodied. Sweetish flavour has green apple and paper. Unclean.

50cl bottle at Cafe 5042m, Kazbegi. Clear pale golden with minimal white head. Mild malty aroma with some fruity notes, hints of cooked vegetables and hops. Moderate sweet with a fairly decent bitterness. Nice enough enjoying outside on terrace looking up at Mount Kazbek. Tried it fresh at the brewery tap in Tbilisi too and it was much better there, really refreshing! --- Beer aliased from original tick of Lager on 07 Dec 2013 at 16:58 - Score: 4
