Hazy copper appearance. Aroma and flavour are malty with a light hoppy fruitiness.

12th Dec 2014: last beer of five on a tasting tray at Altes Mädchen. Came a clear golden colour, the head small but full and lasting, white. Aroma was interesting and full of tropical fruits: a mixed bag with roasted nuts and malts sprinkled on top. The taste was semi-sweet initially, it then seemed to pick up a citrus bite with a herbal feel in the finish. The best of the beers on the tray: which is why they ask you to drink it last.

On tap from Ratsherrn flight at Altes Mädchen, Hamburg. Clear golden color with small creamy white head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of tropical fruits, toasted malt, nuts and herbs. Taste starts moderate sweet malty, follows by citric and herbal acidity with moderate bitter finish. Medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. A bit thin on palate, although very tasty...

Bottle. Light caramel colour with a full head, aroma is nutty caramel. Starts lovely, crisp bitter but like a lot of these pale ales tends to fade. Grand but could be more.

Bottle. Citrusy modest smell. Body of creamy, buttery malt, with a hint of caramel. Mildly bitter notes of fruity hops, bit of yeast as well. Not bad, gentle apa.
