Endovelicus is the ancient portuguese supreme solar healing god who would talk to worshippers in thier sleep as they slept in his sanctuary. Priests and devotees of his cult would receive advice and isight into the future. Belief and veneration of Endovelicus was so profound that it spread across the roman empire. The raspberry mead in this bottle is an homage to ancient ritual and beliefs, as you sip on this amazing craft beverage may you reflect on the superstitions of those who came before us.

Sample @ MBCC 2019. No head. Color is deep red. Aroma and taste are rich sour cherries, little honey, vanilla and has a heavy cherry finish.

Bottle bought through Hackobock. Pours deep ruby red leaving some nice-looking legs on the glass with a swirl. Smell is heavy fruity with honey, raspberries, blackberries, bilberries, dark grapes, black currants, moist wood, vanilla, minerals, port wine and alcohol. Taste is slightly sweet, sour, heavy fruity and slightly woody. Mouthfeel is round, viscous, oily, tiny dry, tart, slightly boozy and near full bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and sour with extremely rich and complex berry and port characteristics. Amazingly complex sipper. As with it’s brother it’s very fun to see this level of complexity reached without insane sweetness levels. The price point is crazy steep but I guess that’s fair with such a high end product.

Bottle at Superstition, pours a deep dark mahogany. Aroma brings out loads raspberries upfront, followed by medium honey nectar notes. Flavour is exquisite, with loads of prominent raspberries upfront, followed by medium honey sweetness. Sweet but nowhere close to cloying. Fantastic stuff.

Bottle thanks to dak at ratebeer best bottle share. pours out a deep mahogany no head. Nose is amazing raspberry jam vanilla sweetness. Taste is more of the raspberry cream. Very well balanced with the light tart berries and honey sweetness.

Bottle at the Rate Beer Awards Festival Bottle Share, from Dak. Big nsoe of raspberry, honey, port. So sweet, huge, creamy flavors, luscious raspberries and port vinous character just melts in my mouth. Fabulous.

Bottle - Raspberry name and vanilla. Deep purple red. Big raspberry up front, with some acidity and and long jammy finish. Honey is a bit in the back here, but decadent and nice.
