Named after the lights of the aurora, regularly viewed in our northern skies.
Citrus flavours combine with hints of fresh bread: giving way to spice, citrus and apricot hoppiness. It has a delicious crisp hop character without being overly aggressive. Perfectly refreshing.
Hops: Perle, Hersbrucker, Saaz
Malts: Pale, Crystal, Malted Wheat

Bottle from the Orkney Brewery. Pours a clear golden/amber colour with a thinnish off-white head. Aromas of toffee, caramel, citrus fruits, apricots, apples and hints of floral. Taste has the same notes again as the aroma. Very gentle carbonation with a smooth soft mouthfeel. Fairly light bodied. Very slightly hoppy finish. Nice elegant beer.

[Cask at the Standing Order (JDW), Edinburgh.] A pale amber pour with a tight white head; creamy aroma with a touch of citrus; similar taste, smooth and creamy with a hint of citrus and heather; and nothing to finish.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head. Nose - caramel and just a hint of lemon. Taste - more lemon with biscuit this time. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture. Dry finish. Overall - decent.

Cask-conditioned at the Bon Accord, Glasgow 2 October 2018. Golden in colour, with a slight, white, head. Leafy hops, rather dense, chewy malts, some hedgerow fruits and a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Cask pint in The Moon Under Water in Wolverhampton on 16th June 2018. Creamy white head on a clear golden body. Not a lot going on really, light blend of malty sweetness and mild hop bitterness. Pleasant enough but lacks depth, even if it's only 3.8% ABV.
