From tap at Cafรฉ Pardaf, Antwerpen. Nicely dry just as I like my Saison. Wheaty pale malt, some funk. Tart and sour, fruity notes including some citrus, stone fruit. Medium body, dry finish. Lovely.

375ml bottle. Opalescent, yellow-ish, golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, snow white head. Mildly bretty, funky, tangy and vinous fruity, yeasty, slightly herbal and woody aroma, notes of brine, mustard seed, white grapes, a touch of oak, tarragon, dill. Taste is tart, tangy, vinous fruity, mildly woody, slightly citrusy hoppy, mildly bretty, funky yeasty, notes of white grapes, some brine, mustard seed, tarragon, lemon peel, oak. Oily texture, smooth and soft, minimally astringent palate, fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Very harmonious, homogeneous and balanced, rich and manifold - very good!

Bottle. Color: Lightly hazy golden, fast disappearing small white head. Aroma: White grape, sweet and tart. Taste: Fruity white grape, sweet and tart white beriies, subtle citrus and light hints of stone fruit. Subtle oak wood, some Saison yeast hints. Wild yeast funk. Moderate tart and light to moderate sweet. Medium body, Average carbonation, which is too much for this kind of beer in my opinion and takes away some of the flavours. (Edit: Gets better when standing longer) Overall quite nice though.

Tasting @Luppolo Station (Rome). Dorata, un filo torbida, schiuma bianca medio-leggera. Al naso note di vino bianco, scorza di limone, leggera speziatura. In bocca รจ vinosa, acida medio-leggera, equilibrata, secca nel finale. Corpo medio-leggero, carbonazione media. Eccellente!

Head gone in seconds, finely carbonated yellow-golden beer. Nice weedy-hoppy nose with fine acids, lactic, rhubarb, starfruit, lemon, lime, guave and Bretts. Fruity flavour, mouldy oranges, beeswax, incense, and a hint of vegetable frying oil. White wine with lots of acids. In the end there is a faint sweetness. Titillating feel if visually absent, refreshing, light body. Finish has again something oily in feel. Great!

Blended sour ale (made in Ireland), part of which has been mixed-fermented and barrel aged, thanks to 77ships for sharing. Egg-white, bubbly, thin head fizzing away like the foam on a glass of coke in instants, misty yellow-gold robe with ochre-ish tinge. Aroma of green gooseberries, unripe pineapple, green kiwi, crabapple, sourdough, Conference pear, chalk. Tart onset, lots of green fruit, gooseberries, sour grapes and green plums, apple peel, some unripe stonefruit wryness, medium carb with smooth mouthfeel; cereally, white-bready malt core under drying lactic sourness with a fruity character, quite refreshing, with a sour green apple note growing stronger towards the end. Strong tannic grape skin and wood effects lend the finish a vinous, drying, rich character. More than decent sour ale (or โ€˜saisonโ€™ as Anglo-Saxon lore dictates that saison should apparently be a form of sour ale, contrary to the actual Belgian saisons of nowadays), pleasant and enjoyable for sure.
