330 ml bottle, bb 12.04.2018.
Dark red-brown body, with a small, creamy, dark beige head.
Aroma of milk chocolate, toffee, bourbon, vanilla, sweet wood, dried fruits, some leather, slight smoke.
Tastes similar, with some more sherry, slight alcohol.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes long, warm, moderate boozy, a bit astringent, wooden, medium sweet, with chocolate, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, dried fruits.
Tasty. Heavy and intense, but still well balanced, not too boozy. The barrel aging is very well integrated, leading to complex, warming layers. A quite typical barrel aged Barley Wine, great sipper.

0,1l from tap shared at Craft Bier Fest Wien. black color, small tan head. smells of bourbon, nutty, earthy, bit boozy. nice smell., full body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of bourbon, nutty, marzipan, vanilla, light earth, spices. finishes lightly sweet with notes of bourbon, nutts and vanilla. very nice one, great taste. very smooth, not super complex but great to drink. 7,4, 8, 4, 17

Pours pitch black, toped with a medium sized and nicely lasting beige head. Pleasant, complex and not sharp nose of chocolate, vanilla, coconut and woodiness, hints of smoke (very gentle) and slight alcohol hint. Super creamy and extra full body. Gentle chocolate sweetness, some roastiness and mild bitterness. Some berry presence (black currant) with slight alcohol warmth in the finish. A superb beer, exactly what I like. Might be difficult to share it, because it's that fine.
