25/3/2022. Can shared at ITFCfan's 30 for 30. From Beer Guerrilla, Northampton. Pours black with a small frothy beige head. Aroma is cherry bakewell, chocolate, pastry, light roasted ashy notes, touch of nut and treacle. Quite sweet, without being too sweet, light bitterness. Full bodied, thick sticky mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very good, equals with the best I've had from the series, but then I am a cherry bakewell fan and it really delivered.

Can at home, from HOTM online, 13/02/21. Pitch black with a well presented tan cap. Nose is sweet malts, chocolate dipped cherries, hint of peanut butter, light spice, mellow roast, brown sugar dusting. Taste comprises light roast, almonds, jammy berries, good cherry Bakewell twist (I really want one now!!!), sweet malts, cocoa sprinkle, cherry skins. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close kissed with a balanced rising boost. Solid paystree affair ... good cherry Bakewell vibes without ever getting overly sweet ... hats off 3H !

Can. Opaque dark brown beer, small darkish tan head. Airy palate and pretty light for an Impy, decent fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts with smooth dark chocolate underneath. Cherry Bakewell is not subtle but neither is it overly sweet. Bold cherry and good helping of almond. An underlying bitterness a little spice. Smooth finish finds more juicy maraschino like cherry, slightly bitter almond and a little chocolate liqueur. Works well and goes down very easy. I enjoyed the last drop of the can as much as the first.
