Bottle from a local bottle shop. Nicely balanced Bowmore influence with dark chocolate, soft peat, smoke, and whiskey. Flavour is moderate sweet and mild bitter with soft booze. Medium to full body. Very nice, good barrel aging.

dark brown color with low beige head. Aroma: dark chocolate, apple crumble, raisins soaked in rum, molasses, maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon. Taste: dark chocolate, raisins, molasses, cinnamon, vanilla, light peat influence, bit spicy and bready from rye. Full body, moderate carbonation, high bitterness. Oily, lightly peaty, rich, complex, great.

Bottle drunk watching Wheel of Time, after a day of visiting the inlaws and then filling some holes with Bauschaum. Motor oil dark, thin brown head, nose of light peat, soy, roasted grains, brown sugar. Flavor is fantastic, mellow coffee and huge smooth dark roast notes, sparkling with salty and sweet notes. Not alcoholic-tasting like many high percenters, not overly sweet. Great one!

Bottle. Black, brown cream. Roast, chocolate, seaside iodine. Medium full body, fine sparkly, ashen dryness, iodine, light soy, wood vanilla, cocoa nibs and licorice. Not the most harmonic, but has character.

Bottle. Black color with beige head. Aroma is chocolate, mild peat, iodine, mushroomy, nice, albeit a bit subtle. Taste is burnt ash, liquorice, wood, iodine, chocolate, earthy, pretty dry finish. Velvety mouthfeel, fine-bubbled carbonation, but a bit thin. It took a while for me to get behind this beer, it becomes better with every sip, and a plus is that it's not too sweet.

Aus der Flasche (bbe 02.06.2022) im 2021-12 getrunken. Die kurzweilige Schaumkrone bei dieses Stout sieht aus wie Mousse au Chocolat. In der Nase deutlich dunkle Schokolade, etwas Paprika und eine ganz feines fruchtiges Portwein-Aroma. Am Gaumen ist es elegant aufgebaut und auch hier mit einem deutlichen Schokoladenaroma. Weder in der Nase noch am Gaumen kann ich ein Bezug zu einen Bowmore oder torfigen Islay Whisky finden. Es bleibt ein hervoragendes Stout was durch seine Eleganz besonderen Spaß im Glas macht.

Bottle. Color: Black, light brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt, dark chocolate, some peat and booze. Taste: Starting dark chocolate, roasted malt, immediately followed by boozy Whiskey, clearly present yet quite subtle peat, raisins, some liquorice and wood. Dry-ish finish. Over medium to full body, just below average carbonation. Long lasting finish. Nice, but no wow-factor. Over moderate bitter and sweet.

33 cl. bottle @ home, gift from Dennis & Patries. Pitch black with a beige head. Roasted malts aroma, dark fruits and of course some Bowmore. Sweet taste with a bittersweet boozy whisky finish. Again an excellent beer from Jopen.
