Teaming up again with their Bloomington neighbors, this beer uses Chambourcin grapes from Oliver Winery's Creekbend vineyard. The beer is a blend of a 24 month old Flemish-style red ale and their Lambic-style blending base, Basis, conditioned on the grapes for 18 months. This French-American hybrid grape offers light tannins and big cherry and red fruit flavors.

500 mL bottle. Pours a deep red with a slightly pinkish white head that quickly recedes to a ring. Tart, sugary red grape aroma. Red grape and oak flavors with a strong citric sourness. Additional notes of molasses. Has the sugariness of grape juice as well. Quite nice.

Red wine, musty malt, and dry hay aroma. Dark purple with moderate head. Minimally sweet grape, malt, moderately sour vinegar/citric acid, and mildly bitter dry hay flavor. Nice balance. Very pleasant.
