Can from local Grocery Outlet. Pours translucent gold with a foamy white head. Aroma of passion fruit and citrus. Light in body. Flavor is citrus and passion fruit - mango note. Light caramel support. Flavors are good, but not very strong. Clearly sessionable.

Kroger 29 can. Hazy pale gold with a soft white head. Orange and grapefruit peel, light tropical fruit... the aroma is as expected for a session: barely there. Flavor is lemongrass, light mango, light pineapple, lots of bread crust and some cardboard. Decent, but even at 4.6% this isn't overly a session - I want more to it.

3 week old can A: Poured very cloudy pale yellow with a thick, frothy snow white head. Good retention and elaborate lacing. S: Fresh but sugary sweet green tropical fruits, flowers and wafer cookies. T: Not sweet. Lightly tart and dry to almost seltzery. Zesty lemon citrus notes dominate with a plain cracker or biscuit afterthought. M: Light, fizzy and clean with no hop burn. O: Thin as expected in flavor and body but what's there is pleasant enough. As a low ABV lover, I'm OK with it.

Follows the general session IPA template, offering up an initial burst of grapefruit, mandarin, and papaya, then developing a slight cracker malt graininess in the middle, before settling into a bland, citrus-dusted fade. Not bad, and certainly drinkable, but nothing too memorable, either.

Can from Trader Joe's. Pours a clearish straw gold with a finger of white foam. Passionfruit and citrus aromas on the nose. Clean and good hop notes on the palate as well. Drying finish, very enjoyable as a session IPA.
