0.33 l can thanks to Kermis who brought it from Bulgaria. Shared with Ogi, Marko and him. Dark brown, minimal head. Roasty, red pepper flakes, peat, some coffee. Smooth, dark bread, black malts, some ground coffee, some peat in the finish. Not very complex, but very smooth. Quite drinkable. A fruity touch. Even a tart touch. Very roasty, burnt and ash finish.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from 100 Beers, Sofia. Pours oily black with a moderate, foamy beige head. Medium to big sweet flavour, loads of meaty dark malts, some booze, chewy chocolate, earth, booze, raisins, a little smoke and ash. Full bodied, chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, more dense dark malts, ashy bitterness, baking cocoa. Hearty, fun old-school stuff.

Some more proper beer! And I've been liking coffee stouts lately. Soft body, not too thick, but smooth enough. Nice roastyness, and a bunch of coffee. Slight green pepper, but not disturbingly so. Not very complex, but definitely very tasty.

330ml can. Jet black colour with average to huge, frothy to creamy, rapidly diminishing, minimally lacing, tan head. Sweet-ish, chocolately, slightly roasty, dark malty aroma, hints of coffee, vanilla, dark caramel, a touch of hundreds and thousands. Taste is sweet, chocolately, dark malty, notes of dark chocolate, vanilla, houndreds and thousands, a touch of strawberry, red berries in general with a minimally artificial touch, whiffs of toasted nuts and dark caramel, some plum; very well hidden alcohol. Viscous texture, smooth, soft, silky and slightly cloying palate, very fine, soft, creamy texture. The alcohol is very well hidden, nevertheless the drinkability is quite low due to the sweet and minimally artificial character; excellent mouthfeel - too sweet and monotonous to describe it as a nice sipper.

Flink roosterig, koffie, beetje earthy, chocolade, houtskool, sojasaus. Redelijk romig, stevig, straf en dik. Randje alcohol aanwezig. In de nasmaak heerlijke broodkorst en roastyness. Spulleke.
