Label says Vollbier Halbdunkel. Clear medium amber colour, lot of activity in the glass, tall rocky off-white head, good retention, heavy lacing. Aroma malty, some caramel, grain, berries, grapes, light caramel, barnyard. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, bready, light fruity. Caramellish sweetbitter aftertaste, malty, fruity notes, bit chalky, medium body, watery to oily texture, average carbonation, refreshing, eady to drink, very pleasant.

20-08-16 // 500ml. Special release in a ceramic bottle with Schloss Neuschwanstein picture. Picked up at the brewery. My go-to holiday beer. Hazy amber colour with white head. Medium body, light sweet, light bitter. Very tasty. 50 cl swing top bottle from the brewery (had this on tap @ the brewery as well, some 6 years ago). Label says Vollbier Halbdunkel (medium dark). Color is golden to amber. Almost white, rocky head that leaves some lace. Aroma’s are grainy, , some fruit, some malty sweetness. Flavor is almost neutral, lightly malty sweet, bit grainy. Light bodied. Finishes with a light hopnote. Very clean tasting.

(swing top bottle) Clear, deep golden to amber colour with a thick off-white foamy head. Sweet and slightly toasted (cara-)malty and slightly bready aroma with an aromatic dash of citric and herbal hops. Sweet flavour with a rounded level of bitterness, light to medium bodied with a smooth and well-carbonated mouthfeel. Delicately toasted cara-malty taste with shy hints of bread crusts and noble, subtle fruity hops; moderately dry and bready and slightly nutty finish with herbal hoppy spots. Quaffable and rounded brew. 10.II.10

Bügelverschlußflasche (Dank an Joss!): Light amber coloured, clear, big stable loose off-white head, leaving a nice lace; caramelly-toasty nose with a light barnyardy touch and a mild hoppy background; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light bodied, low carbonation; malty-chalky finish with a light hoppyness in the aftertaste. Light, soft and pleasant.......
