Inspired by deliciously fruity breakfast smoothies, we decided to re-create their best features in a modern oat cream Double IPA. Utilising a double mash with significant oat, corn and wheat additions we created a beer with a huge body to showcase incredible new season Citra and Strata hops. The result is a satisfyingly thick and creamy beer with an intense aroma of tropical fruit and flavours of sweet strawberry, juicy passion fruit and bright tangerine.

very hazy pale yellow colour, medium sized dense white head; aroma of pineapple, lemon zest, grapefruit, some grape, slight mango and celery notes; bittersweet taste with the same notes as can be felt in the aroma and syrupy-biscuity notes; really good IIPA

Thin white head left a spotty cover on a hazy pale lemon coloured body. Citrus, clean & confectionery aroma. Medium bodied, smooth, soft & clean on the back. Sweet citrus, tangerine, pine & oat tastes with a long tangy finish. Excellent

Can from the brewery Bermondsey and drunk at home. Turbid orange gold colour thin white head. So what makes this a breakfast ipa. Well it's very fruity. some creaminess in full body. passionfruit tangerine flavours. some citrus acidity on the finish. moderate bitterness. hides abv well. Good fruit some cream.

Can. Hazy yellow beer, small pale cream colour head. Airy palate, semi dry, a reasonable fine minerally carbonation on the back end. Light malts provide a decent creamy sweetness. Citra and Strata deliver smooth pine and a mildly tangy melon. Light but bright mandarin and tangerine. The lightest sprinkle of hop spice on the end. Clean and drinkable but, for me, lacks a wow factor - lacks a bit of hop intensity. Decent nonetheless.

Panda at home, thanks to Fergus, 08/05/21. Murky pineapple juice orange to yellow with a good sized faded egg shell white covering that thins in time to a swirl. Nose is pink grapefruit, orange pith, grass, light pine nip, dusty hops. Taste comprises orange zest, mixed tropical fruits, pine needle, ripe melon, citric tinged straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a dose of juicy hop bitterness and a balanced rising boost. Not bad ... just lacks a little cohesion this one ... could be cleaner.
