Bottle. Nose is muted for me with cereal, bready, slight caramel, slightly dusty. Taste is, bready, cereal, caramel, spice, cloves, light banana, candied fruits, fruity, faint smoke. Really well balanced beer with the seasonal adjunct to the fore.

330ml bottle from the out of date grot-box @ Bacchanalia Wines, Cambridge. Pours a deep generally clear gold, white head. Aroma of gently caramelised cereal malt. Continues to taste, not too rich overall but nice rosey golden malt shining through with an appealing moderate sweetness.

330ml bottle from Raynville Superstore. It pours clear pale orange with a a decent white cap. The aroma is soft, bitter - sweet, dried and candied fruits, dried apricot, sultana, mixed peel, fruit cake, marmalade sponge cake and a touch of honey. The taste is dryish to begin with, bitter - sweet character, warming spice, kick of booze, sponge cake, biscuit, custard creams, orange marmalade, raisin, sultana, dried apricot, bread & butter pudding and some leafiness with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Drinks easier than one might expect of a winter bock. Has some nice nuances to it. Not bad.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - cloudy yellow with a white head. Nose - caramel, overripe banana and slightly tangy. Taste - sweet caramel but with a tangy edge still. Some bread and banana notes lurking. Palate - light to medium bodied, tangy sweet in the middle, tangy dry finish. Overall - ok, if a bit odd.
