Cask at Cellar, Chester Strongly orange in the nose this one. Pours an orangey yellow with a small white head – rather dark for a supposed pale ale. Sharpness is the initial reaction in the mouth. Bitter oranges with a hint of grapefruit. Finally some hoppiness comes through in the finish to balance the orange.

Bottle 50 cl. Clear golden, white head. Spicy, herbal aroma. Light body, dryish fruitiness. Not really fond of this hop blend. Somewhat sharp and almost unpleasant although not bitter. 240719

Cask. Clear golden color with soapy white head. Aroma is a bit farty, grainy. Taste is cereals, farty, parmeggiano. Oily, almost watery mouthfeel, flat. Not great.

Cask halfpint at The Grill, Aberdeen. Deep golden colour, white head. Moderate aroma of citrussy hops. The flavour has a slight malty sweetness with hints of toffee and caramel, but also decent citrussy hops. Enjoyable.

From 33cl bottle. Pours bright gold, moderately hazy, with white foam. Aroma is grainy and citrusy, quite pleasant. Body is medium-dense. Taste is moderately bitter, with relatively long persistence.
