Award winning refreshing golden hoppy ale brewed with New Zealand hops. Appeals to ale and lager drinkers alike. Great with spicey food. Many are intrigued by it's name. It's quite simple really. The Cotswolds are famous for sheep and the wool industry. “Shag” is an old English word meaning a heavy or rough woolenfabric. So Shagweaver literally means “wool weaver”.

Cask half pint at the New Inn, Gloucester. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma of earthy and fruity hops. The flavour is quite smooth, but has still a fair amount of earthy and fruity hops.

Lysebrun. Nesten ikke skum. Vassen aroma. Metallisk. Smaken som oppvaskvann. Ubehagelig.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Hazy amber with a scummy looking off-white head; fruity aroma, with a hint of malt; tropical fruit flavours, but with a muddy, floury, body; the finish has some sharp and disagreeable bitterness, and then some biscuit. Not a pleasant experience.

Cask-conditioned at The Raven, Bath 6/9/08. Slightly hazy gold with a slight white head. Aroma of spice, hay and earthy hops. Flavour began with some sweetness before more spice, a floral edge and short bitter finish. Unusual.
