Third, keg at Doncaster Brewery Tap. Shared with Finn. Patches on the surface leaving scattered lacing behind. Black in the glass. Rich smell of cherry and oaky sweetness. Nice chocolate cherry flavours followed by a long-lived malt-berry ending. Well bodied. Pleasant to drink. (Doncaster 28.01.2020).

On tap at Wild Beer Wapping Wharf, Bristol. Pours murky dark brown to black with a loose tan head. Chocolate & sour cherry aroma. On the taste it's sweet with rich chocolate, sweet & sour cherries, red berries. Medium to full bodied with light carb, sweet finish. Good one

(On tap) Murky dark chocolate brown with small tan head. Subtle chocolate aroma. Full bodied, smooth, velvety with some bright very fine carbonation. Great palate. Amazing taste too with a great balance between rich, sweet and tart. There’s a lovely fruit tartness if cherries, maybe hints of raspberries. This plays against a rich chocolate taste. An unusual and excellent beer.

Keg at Underdog, Dublin, 15/09/19. Pitch black with a well presented khaki covering. Nose is rich roast, chocolate dipped cherries, light black peppery spice, fruit cake. Taste comprises dark chocolate, red berry fruits, dark malts, mellow roast, brown sugars, fruit loaf. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent stout if lacking any wow.

Tap at Unorthodox Pours headless black. Loads of cherry, maybe way too much for me accompanied with dark chocolate all this packed with huge amounts of sweetness. Quite heavy in summer what likely influenced my rating.
