I’m honored to share this beer for Kinz’s 3000th rating! Can from Amity Wines, New Haven, shared at the 20th Richmond Gathering. Pours a clear amber color with a thin fizzy head. Aroma of caramel malts, grassy hops, banana. The taste is grassy hops, tart fruits, corn. Thin-medium bodied.

OK, cheap beer from city, not expecting much. Smells like volatile fermented corn. First taste is strong and approahing nasty, taste of cheap high alky pale lager. Srong near gag reflex back of throat. Finish is tolerable, jsut barely.

Tall boy canned @ home picked up at Argonaut for $1.19 poured into my Avery Sour Fest snifter. Pours a clear orange appearance with a sizable white head that ultimately dissipates pretty quickly. A touch floral, cotton candy, grape drink aroma. Fairly smooth flavor although not the most exciting malt likka out there. Some grains, some caramel, slight lemon flavor. Smooth.

Associated Supermarket, Bushwick 24oz can ($1... err I mean 99 cents... actually, the cashier forgot to charge me for this): Pours a clear orange with barely any head. Aroma is dreadful: motor oil, nail polish removal, old garbage, and ash. However, the taste is actually tolerable. Basically, if you close your nose and chug, this is a relatively smooth drank with relatively few offensive things in your mouth. How this is legal is beyond me because the can is meant to look like an Arizona Ice Tea can...

24 oz. can. Had so many 4.0+ beers lately, I need to reset my palate with something like this. And this is exactly that something. First, it does look a little darker than some pansy-ass Heineken. But there’s a nausea inducing rubbing alcohol and corn syrup smell. And that’s pretty much how it tastes. Very gassy on top of that. So I can taste its wretchedness going down, then taste it again coming back up. Decided to "enjoy" this during the Bears/Rams game because it shares with the NFL a history of ethnic stereotyped mascots. I picked this up in Michigan with some (hopefully much better) Dark Horse at the brewery’s convenience store outlet.

Light amber colour...looks too drinkable to be a malt liquor. Cidery aroma is a nice start, but the body is light, and after a faint ciderraunch note it gets very watery. Too bland - it just doesn't have that "kick you in the nuts" character that I look for in a good malt liquor.
