Cask at Bottle Bank, Holmes Chapel (not In RB yet – I’ll add it in a minute) Pours a dense black with a small beige head. Nose is basically chocolate with some malty hints. In the mouth it has an oily texture, featuring chocolate and liquorice. But also a little spicyness – maybe pear drops ? Finish is dry and bitter with some fruitiness coming through right at the end. A good solid stout.

Cask at the hanging bat.. Dark black.. Thin tan lacing.. Soft dusty chocolate roast malts... Soft sweet caramel woody toffee chocolate roast malts

Cask. Dark brown color with beige head. Aroma is chocolate, grains, light liquorice. Taste is chocolate, liquorice, earthy, oats. Oily mouthfeel, flat. Very good!

Cask at the hanging bat. Pours deep brown, nose is liquorice, toffee, cocoa powder, taste is liquorice, chocolate, toffee.

On keg at the Hanging Bat. Appearance - deep black with attractive fawn lacing. Nose - caramel or toffee dominates the chocolate which is still there and it's creamy. Honeycomb and smoke too. Taste - burnt toffee and bread. Smoky burnt bread finish. Palate - medium to full bodied, rich and smoky middle and finish. Overall - lovely stuff.

Cask at the Star and Garter, Bromley. Black pour with a beige head. Nose of smoke, dark chocolate, raisin, smidgen of coffee. Flavours of chocolate raisin, caramel, milky coffee, smoke. Nice easy drinking stout.

[ As Pomona Island Stout ].
ABV: 4.5%. Clear dark black brown colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, dark malt, chocolate, moderate roasted, light oat. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dark malt, roasted, chocolate, light wood and oat. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat.
