Medium beige creamy head. Deep brown body. No discernible aroma. Dry-sweet roasty earthy fruity taste with floral musty notes. Mild, smooth mouthfeel. Mid-bodied. Dryish roasty wooden aftertaste with earthy notes. Decent, but nothing special. (0.25l cask, Cloisters, Edinburgh.)

Two half pint, cask served at the right drinking temperature at Cloister Bar in Edinburgh early on a quiet Sunday afternoon. Clear, deep mahogany body with a few patches on the top. Dry malty aroma. Dark fruits flavour accomplished by sweet malts. Mid dry in the mouth, with just one bitter note, or perhaps two [26.10.2008].

From cask at Cloisters. Pours clear and golden amber with a small tan head. Aroma is light breadish malty. Sweet flavoured with a solid malt back bone and a mild bitterness coming through. Light fruity into a mild citric finish, yet persisting malty and somewhat sweet.
