Bottle @ Bickle ‘s Homecoming, Ratebeer Odense. Pours Hazy Golden with a White head. Sesame and Wood. Funk and barnyard. Sulphur. Bone dry and crisp. Hellova lots of funk!

0.75 l bottle from 'Rudat', bottled in September 2020. Opens with a loud bang, gushing. Slightly hazy, golden amber with a large, slightly fluffy, quickly diminishing, white head. A bit sweetish, rather fruity, gently funky aroma of overripe lemon, oak, gooseberry, some horse blanket and light leather. Slightly sweet, gently sour, fairly woody-dry, gently funky, quite fruity taste of overripe lemon, oak, gooseberry, leather, some horse blanket and hints of white pepper, followed by a short, gently tart, rather woody-dry, slightly funky finish. Medium body, slightly astringent and quite effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Lovely, extremely well-balanced Gueuze, nicely dry and fruity. Very good!

75cl bottle on Christmas Day 2021 watching the James Webb telescope live stream. Pours a hazed dull gold, voluminous white head. Lovely floral nose, complex lambic fruitiness emerging. Taste is super crisp with a bristling wild tangy introduction, brought to life by a spritzy fine carbonation. Excellently presented. Woody notes coming through on subsequent sips, nice bretty nuances, pithy grapefruit zest.. excellent.

Bouteille (750ml, gushing!!!): Hazy, golden, big, loose and pretty stable white head, moderately dry - fortunately not bone dry - sour-fruity aroma of apples and apple-vinegar, delicate tart bitterness well detectable,an uncertain (malty ?) sweetness detectable as well; moderate to solid sour-bitter flavour, appeased by mild sweet traces, medium bodied, not too tart, just a bit fizzy; lingering dry sour lemony finish with traces of lemon or grapefruit-peel, supported by green apples and balanced by a shy malty sweetness. Chapeau! Another goody by Frank Boon! Well balanced, well drinkable...
