No night out on the island of Fanø is complete without a strong cup of Coffee Punch. Black coffee and Brøndums Snaps are key the ingredients of choice for this traditional Fanø nightcap. Brewed to honor Fanø's drink of choice and the many late nights spent among friends enjoying it, "Coffee Puncher" is an Imperial Dry Stout brewed with coffee and aged on Brøndums-soaked oak chips (and even more coffee). Flavors and aromas of roasted malts, dark chocolate, and coffee dominate this strong, bone-dry stout.
Malts: Pale Ale Malt, Roasted Barley, Carafa Special III, Chocolate Malt, Oak Smoked Barley, Carafa II

Bottled 500ml. -Courtesy of Marko, shared with him & Hrabren. Pitch black coloured, medium sized beige head, wood and whiff of licorice in the nose. Old coffee, wet wood, light licorice and discreet vanilla with some alcohol in the finish.

0.5l bottle, huge thanks H, shared with Hrabren and Ogi. Pitch blackish body, off-white head. Huge aroma, mostly a heap of wood, bit of vanilla. Lean, dry taste, empty, more wood, the coffee is... well.. not the freshest, roast, quite well hidden alcohol, some licorice, dried enough.

0.5 l bottle, thanks to Marko, shared with Ogi and him. Dark brown, small off-white head. Roasty and toasty aroma with a green pepper touch. Flavour is light caramel, light oak, soft spices and lightly roasty. Smooth, medium to full body, sweet finish.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is liquorice, some coffee and dried fruits, mild nuts and some toasted tones. Flavour is dried fruits, ashes, some roasted malts, liquorice and some more ashes. A bit too ashy for it's own good.

Bottle, 11.5%. Quite vinous aroma, woody notes. More like raw wood than barrels. Black colour. Small light brown head. The flavour has some coffee, also some sweetness, raw wood notes. Quite vinous flavour also. I now realise that there is snaps in it. Never enjoyed coffee punch much.

Draught @ Mig & Ølsnedkeren. Pours black with a creamy brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate. Flavor is sweet light bitter,, rosst malty, caramel, rich coffee, dark chocolate, light alcohol. Medium body, average carbonation, light bitter finish with light warming alcohol. 120322

Sample, thanks fonefan! Black, small brown head. Aroma of coffee ad dark chocolate. Mid swwet with full body and dense, rounded mouthfeel. Chocolate, coffee and mild peppery heat. Harmonous and rich.

ABV: 11.5%. Clear dark dark brown colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy and open, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, coffee, strong coffee, wood, alcohol - punch (snaps) - oak, light oak. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, coffee - roasted, dark malt, sweet malt, coffee, wood, malt - wood bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20210418]
