Smagen af Limfjords Ale er karakteristisk ved sin sødme med et strejf af lakrids. Sødmens karakter kommer af den tilførte Candimic, og resultatet giver en skøn smagsoplevelse. Denne ale er desuden brygget på ”Cara Munich” – en karamelmalt der tilfører øllen en let karamelliseret smag.
Limfjords Ale er overgæret og mild i smagen. En let drikkelig øl i sin klasse.
Som med Limfjordsporteren, er Limfjords Ale er godt bud på en øl til de tungere vinterretter og simremad, men prøv den også gerne til de lettere retter med f.eks. kylling og ovnbagte rodfrugter.

0,5 l bottle from Meny, Blåvand. BB 08.11.2026. Red brown in the glass, slightly cloudy, stable one finger foamy pale beige head. Sweet malty aroma. Some roasted elements. Taste is on the more roasted malty side, roasted caramel, increasing dry in the second part. Present hop bitterness. Little bit alcoholic fruity sweetness. Bitterhop also in te long lasting aftertaste. Not bad.

Bottle at home from local Rema 1000 (03/09/2023) - Toasted and sweet malty with lots of caramelic sweetness, sprinkling of brown sugar, cocoa, fudge and toffee like sweetness, nutty malty lingering finish. Went well with the Cottage Pie!

Bottle.
Hayish grain, light cake, toast, perfumed hops
Light hazy copper, low golden foam.
Juicy malt, roast, a hint smoke, nice hop counterpoint. Medium body, chewy. Very drinkable and pleasant.

Bottle, 6%. Clear dark brown/amber with small tan head. Aroma is malt, caramel, toasted and dark fruit. Flavour is malt, caramel, toasted, dark fruit, nut, sweet, hop and medium bitter.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Ambery brown colour, small white head. Aroma is nutty, some toasted malts, some wood and mild sweet caramel. Flavour is having quite much the same elements, but in a nice balance. Long sweet aftertaste to it.

solsletta 021122. Red brown color with a beige head. Aroma is caramel, bread, roasted malt. Flavor is caramel, roasted malt, licorice, bread, chocolate, dried fruit. Nice beer.

Bottle. It pours an unclear reddish brown body under a finger-thick beige head. Some lacing. The aroma has quite a lot of caramel, with some roasted malts, hints of licorice and burnt malts, some dark bread and a touch of chocolate and dark dried fruit. It's full-bodied and quite smooth on the palate, nicely carbonated and semi-sweet, with a gentle bitterness. Roasted malts, caramel, toffee and some dark chocolate, dried fruit and hints of coffee and licorice in the flavor. Long finish which feels a bit sweet. Some vegetal notes as well in the finish. Quite nice this one, except for the vegetal touch in the finish. 221102

Malzig in der Nase, ebenso im Trunk aber auch sehr bitter, recht alkoholisch, zum Essen okay, soll zu unrund.
