Nice stuff. Very easy drinking. Somehow almost a cross between a Porter and a black ipa. Chocolate and a hint of coffee but it’s a milky coffee. Hops give it a little spicy kick somehow.

Bottle, mail order from the brewery. Rich, nutty coffee nose, with dark chocolate, some caramel, cream, roasted malts. Nice nose. Pitch black with a low, fine, tan head. Rich malt, chocolate, a touch of licorice, coffee, creamy. Finish is very bitter, though, from the roast, or coffee? Not exactly sure but seems roasted and not from the hops. Midpalate is great. Light, crisp. All but the finish is excellent.
