Petrus Bordeaux is a smooth, velvety Flanders Red Ale aged in oak barrels for 2 years. A blend with a fresh, young brown ale keeps this beer balanced, giving it a soft roasted and caramel touch. Its name refers to the barrels used in the ageing process and the ruby red colour that reflects its warm and smooth finish. Do not be mistaken; thanks to the addition of a young brown ale to the barrel aged beer, it is extremely drinkable at only 5.5 ABV

Bottle @ BBT 01/2024 F: tan, medium, good retention. C: dark brown, clear. A: malty, vinous, light sour fruity, chocolate. T: medium malty base, light sour fruity, cherries, berries, bit chocolate, decent bitterness, medium carbonation, ok for the style, enjoyed yet nothing memorable.

Nagy, sokáig kitartó, piszkosfehér hab, sötétbarna szín. Karamelles, enyhén hordós, leheletnyit cseresznyés illat. Karamelles, enyhén hordós, vörösboros, leheletnyit vaníliás íz. Könnyű, közepesen szénsavas, enyhén keserű. Kellemes, frissítő sör.

Bottle from Raynville Stores. It poy clear deep ruby with with a medium fluffy off-white head. The aroma is sweet, juicy, jammy, plum jam, berry, red grape juice, dry oak, victoria sponge cake, candy cane and ribena. The taste is sweet - sour, juicy, jammy, tangy, red berry, blackcurrant, ribena, sugared plums, cherry candy, fizzy cherry cola bottles, ribena, vimto and just a touch of oak tannin with a soft, sweetish finish. Light to average body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Needs more sourness to it. Fruity and drinkable, yes but lacks depth.

Clear dark brown to purple beer, big creamy beige head, a little stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: nice, lots of lactobacillus, a bit fruity, quite some berries, fed fruits, very sourish impression, red wine notes. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: nice acidity, bitter, some tannins, a bit sweet, red fruits, berries, wood notes, sourish. Aftertaste: bit sugary, caramel notes, sourish, malty, lots of dried fruits, bitter, tannins, woody, ok.

Sweet no sour. Fruit juicy, no Bordeaux wine. tak w jednym zdaniu i porownaniu moge to skomentowac, kolejne piwo z akcentami wina, beczki itp. Najslabsze. Jest owoc czerwonego grona, ale w slodkim kompociku podany, a nie z debowej beczki wytrawne czerwone wino Bordeaux. Piana sporawa, gestawa, trwala jak na flandersa nawet. barwa czerwono-do brazowej, klarowne. Slodycz na ustach i troche karmelu, brak debiny, kwasu i jest po prostu wodniste, zero ciala. totalna porazka. Pairing with Corregio Hard matured cheese.
