„Das bayrische Weißbier zum Jubiläumsjahr – 100 Jahre Freistaat Bayern. Gebraut wurde ein bernsteinfarbenes und unfiltriertes Weißbier. Die feine Gewürz- und Fruchtaromatik gehört ebenso wie die ausgewogene Malznote zum milden Charakter dieser obergärigen Weißbier-Spezialität. Schweiger – mia ham no nia ned nix anders ned drunga! “

On tap at the Brauhaus und Restaurant Markt Schwaben Saturday 30th October 2021. Certainly unfiltered, dirty yellow with a large white head. The wheatiness is here as is a little banana, but there is a nice citrussy bite also.

50cl bottle. A hazy amber beer with a beige head. Aroma of mild fruity malt, wheat, yeast. Taste of dry yeasty malt, wheat, clove. Easy.

Bottle. Amber cloudy, offwhite cream. Dry clove, a hint umami, smoked banana. Medium light creamy mouthfeel. Grilled banana, dates, clove, vanilla, lightfooted, quite elegant actually, very good.

Bottle. Cloudy amber-orange color with fluffy white head. Aroma is full on banana cream, cheesecake, a touch smoke in my imagination. Taste is smoked banana, mineraly, rather light-bodied, quite some tartness in the back. Oily and mineraly mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Authentic and very tasty banana-forward oberbayrisches Weißbier.

Kloans Flascherl: Golden, unclear, medium-sized firm off-white head, moderate sweet-sourish grainy-dusty nose, wheat and yeast well detectable; almost moderate sweet-sourish flavour, nearly medium bodied, pretty soft; molecular hoppy traces in the slightly lingering sweetish-sourish finish. O.K. ...

(bottle, 25cl) Hazy, murky golden to amber colour with a beige and massive foamy head. Distinctively wheat malty aroma with bready notes, ripe bananas and shades of clovy spice. Mildly sweet and slightly sour-tart flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Present wheat character with a mealy mouthfeel, hints of bananas and cloves; moderately dry, slightly mineralic and tart finish. Likeable. 01.X.18
