Thick, black & oily. Bitter and toasty with anise, chocolate, coffee and floral hops. Exceptionally long finish. Marvelously full bodied. Outstanding

Panda at home thanks to Colin. A jet black colourd pour with a loose tan head. Aroma is semi sweet, mellow roast, marshmallow, cinnamon, cooca, llight maple and brown sugars. Flavour is composed of medium sweet, sticky brown sugars, jamaica cake, brandy snap sugars, jammy berries, bitter coco. Palate is sticky sweet, some bitter roast, lowish carbonation, oily. Good complexity.

Can at home, from Beerdome, 27/12/20. Pitch black with a well presented rich tan cap that stays for the show. Nose is chocolate, dark malts, molasses, brown sugars, hint of vanilla. Taste comprises chocolate, hint of jammy berry fruits, vanilla, trace of coffee, brown sugar dusting, light spice. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Ok impy stout but doesn't deliver a great depth of flavour on its double digit ABV.

Can. Pours black with small tan head that lasts. The aroma is strong roast and cocoa. Medium body, roast, smoke, dark chocolate, light dry finish, very good.

355ml can from Tooth and Nail in Ottawa, Ontario. Almost pitch black with a big creamy-bubbly warm mocha-coloured head, very nice retention and creamy lacing. Aromas of roasted malts, coffee and light hops. Oily mouthfeel, but not too heavy overall. A little warming in the mouth, but goes down nicely all-around. Flavours of mild roasted malts and hops adding a little grassiness in the finish. Nothing too funky, but should be better to enjoy this winter. Keeping a few for this.

The one that started it all. 16oz can at BiB share.Dark brown pour, collar of head. Aroma is deeply roasted malts, hint of chocolate and cola. Taste is more rich roasty malts, light chocolate and minor sweetness. Pretty simple. And for a good cause...
