Can at home. Pours black, nose is woody, smoky, chocolate, toffee, earthy, taste is similar, a little too much barrel, and not in a delicious peaty way. --- Beer merged from original tick of Barrel Project 21.05 on 10 May 2021 at 18:22 - Score: 7

33cl Blik van Bierwinkel Alkmaar. Zwarte kleur, beige-bruine kraag. Zoete geturfde whisky, rook, sherry, gedroogd donker fruit, gebrande mout, chocolade, caramel, meer turf, licht aards, bitterzoete finish. Volle body. Erg smaakvol.

0.33 l can from 'Het Biermeisje', best before April 2025. Pitch black with a thin, frothy, stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty, slightly smoky and a little fruity aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, red berries and traces of whisky. Quite sweet, malty, gently roasty, slightly smoky and a bit fruity taste of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, some whisky, bread crust and red berries, followed by a medium long, quite roasty-bitter, rather woody, even a little tart, slightly earthy and just a bit peaty finish. Medium to full body, smooth and creamy to oily mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Very tasty, really smooth and rich, unfortunately way less peaty than expected, I mean it's supposed to be a Peated Imperial Stout (brewed with peated malt according to the list of ingredients) aged on Laphroaig barrels.
