The classic citrus and pine aromas, along with the high bitterness of a traditional West Coast IPA, combined with the spiciness of Rye. The horses are on the track!

Hazy, lightly fruity nose. Pale. Not much head. Moderate bitterness. This isn’t listed as a rye IPA anymore but I’m pretty sure there’s still rye in there.

473 ml can. Special Sept 13-15 2025 concert edition. Pours amber with little head. Aromas of dank hops, forest floor, a little fruit and toasted malts. Flavors follow same with less fruit, more malts including sharp rye and an odd metallic and earthy hop presence.

On tap at Barnside, pours a cloudy creamsicle orange with a small white head. Aroma is muddled, with bready malt, a hint of spiciness, and subdued hops. Flavour is likewise quite muddled, with spicy, earthy hops, a touch of fruitiness, and some bready malt. How is this a west coast IPA? It tastes like one of the many muddled hazies that have become ubiquitous.

Draft pour enjoyed at Barnside, Ladner. Somewhat cloudy copper appearance. Always love anything rye, this one leaves no shortage of the spicy character I crave. Rich malts get destroyed by rye spice. Sharp flavor. Smooth finish. Not too much going on here apart from the obvious specialty grain aspect, but an ideal brew for the rye lover in your life.

Okay deep brown body and little foam, smells of soft floral rye with vague hops. Taste is nice rye maltiness, hops help sharpen it and accentuate. Full with good oiliness, adequate Rye IPA and nothing more.
