Brown with fleeting, beige. Aroma of dark chocolate, sherry barrel, fudge. Taste is bitter with mild sour undertones. Surprisingly delicate—I prefer my impys a little chewier. Roasted bitter finish. Alcohol well hidden. Not a lot of nuance but pleasant.

(Draft at Manifest Taproom, Berlin, 16 July 2025. Vintage 2022) Black colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with liquorice, black coffee and black rye bread. Malty, roasted taste with notes of liquorice, black rye bread, coffee, cacao, dark chocolate and a balanced roasty bitterness. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Rich and tasty, on the boozy side. Very nice.

0,75l bottle shared @ Remedy, cellar's treasures tasting. Pours very dark brown with a low tan head. Aroma is dry roasted malts with coffee. Flavor is dry roasted malts, coffee, hops. Very good.

From tap. Pours potch black, small tan head. Aroma is thick caramelish to light chocolate. Sweet, dark malty. Lingering dark roasted. Bitter, dark malty. Roasted and dark sweet malty finish. Dry and toasted far finish.

75cl bottle. A very dark brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of strong dark malt, melasse, caramel, coffee and bourbon. Taste of strong dark caramelized malt, wood, some tobacco, melasse. Slightly boozy finish.

Trockener schokoladiger Beginn. Erkennbarer, nicht störender Alkohol, dunkel brotig, etwas holzig. Mokka, etwas Rum, wenig röstig. Langer, wenig süßer aber dafür umso intensiver Malzabgang. 9/11/12/12/8/11
