Can from a local bottle shop. Very citrussy aroma with lemon, hops, grass, wheat. Flavour is moderate bitter with a hint of wheaty sourness. No sweetness to speak of. Body is medium. Bright and refreshing.

Can from the brewery; thanks, mom & dad! Cloudy yellow, big, frothy, white head. Aroma of pineapple, unripe peach, lime, wheat, bread crust, orange peel. Taste has sweetish pineapple & peach, sourish lime & wheat in a solid bready malt body. Grassy, somewhat piney hoppy finish, more wheat and unripe yellow fruit. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Surprising and decent effort.

Hazy straw blond with lasting, thin head. Mosaic is a good choice for this beer style with the juicy tangerine notes coming through strongly. The hop bitterness aids drinkability and sessionability. Nicely balanced.

very hazy pale yellow colour, large, though not too dense white head; aroma of pineapple, mango, litchi, green tea, lemony and orange peel notes; taste is quite hoppy-bittery with similar fruity and citrusy notes as can be felt in the aroma and spicy-horseradish-like aftertaste; good one

One of Lupulus' recent venturings into slightly more exciting territory than the mass-marketed beers they are better known for, a hoppy wheat ale from a flashy can. Moussy, snow white, opening head lacing in dots over a misty yellow blonde beer with vaguely greenish tinge. Aroma of wet flour, dried lemongrass, lime flesh, green pear, linden flower tea, unripe pineapple, green banana, chamomile. Crisp, quite 'cleanly' fruity onset, hints of green apple, unripe banana and pineapple, fizzily carbonated; wheaty, slenderly soapy and sourish core with doughy edges, bit flour-like, leading to an indeed hoppy finish displaying retronasal impressions of lemongrass, lime zest and tree blossoms, as well as a nicely crisp and dry bitterness with very quenching effect. Pretty good, this one, or at least better than expected: crisp, elegant and indeed hoppy in a 'postmodern' and colourful way. I was expecting less, to be honest, if only because the days of the original Trois Fourquets, once capable of surprising me with - especially for Wallonia - innovative brews, have long passed; this Hoppy Wheat almost seems an echo from that long forgotten time.

33 cl. can @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg.
Hazy yellow with a white head. Citrus aroma with some wheat sour note. Sweet taste with a low bitter finish with again a sour note. Quit thin bodied but a nice beer for a sunny afternoon.

Can from Rond Point, Malmedy. Hazy yellow colour, white foam. Nose of tropical fruit, citrus, wheat. Taste is medium sweet, some tart hints, fruity, well balanced. Good!
