Formerly known as Banks's Original until 2010.

The original Banks's brew. This is the beer that made Banks's famous and is still the world's best selling mild - it's beautifully balanced, smooth and very moreish.

A light chestnut coloured beer, exhibiting a glorious balance. Malty with a perceptible burnt note, it's full bodied with a hint of bitterness counterbalancing the rich, biscuity flavour from the best barley.

The perfect accompaniment to a spicy Indian dish or strong flavoured meats and game.

Can shared in London - big thanks to Daniel. Pours totally clear copper with a slight, foamy head. Bland aroma, light paper, faint bread, hints of berries. Light sweet flavor with lightly toasted bread, faint caramel, earth, berries. Light bodied with average carbonation. Moderate sweetness in the finish, some leaves, dried bread, dried berries. Mediocre, but drinkable.

Can thanks to dirty Danny. It pours clear rich copper with a small off-white head. The nose is toasted grain, brown bread, dark fruits, fruit cake, honeyed cereal and cereal. The taste is crisp, clean, brown bread, tangy fruits, dried berry and chewy malt with a short, dryish finish. Light body and fine carbonation. Pretty simple, but not bad.

0,5l bottle at home from trade with minutemat, big thanks. BB 31.01.2016. redish / brown hazy color, medium big short-lasting off-white head. smells acidic, sourish, berry notes, tobacco, light vegetables. light body, rather bubbly carbonation, light mouthfeel. tastes rather messy bitter / sweet, tobacco, light berry notes, some caramel, nuts, honey, light metallic, bit acidic. very short finish with light bitterness and some caramel notes. after the finish there is not much left, kinda unpleasant tobacco notes. finishes is quite watery, even the carbonation that was quite lively at first leaves rather quickly, the end is basically flat and too boring for me. overall nothing wrong with the beer, but just soo boring. a bit more carbonation towards the finish and a better finish would improve this quite a bit. maybe my bottle was not the freshest anymore though. overall ... -> not gonna finish that bottle :P

500ml bottle from Waitrose. Pours mahogany. Extremely light malt aroma. Taste is malt forward with a delicately light sweetness. Not a bad sweet caramel flavour but just appears to dissipate into watery flavours half way through. I’d get a bit depressed if this was the standard option in my local.
